It was mid-way through the second period that the injury bug bit Steve Mason again. A lower-body injury forced Mason out of Sunday's 3-1 win over the Capitals.

The injury puts the Flyers in a huge pickle. In Mason's previous injuries, Rob Zepp was the first to get the call. But Zepp was injured in the Phantoms 4-1 loss to Binghamton on Saturday night. So who gets the call this time?

Ray Emery will likely get the start on Tuesday in Montreal and could very well go the rest of the road trip – the Flyers are in Columbus on Friday and in Buffalo on Sunday.

With that, GM Ron Hextall hinted that Anthony Stolarz, the Flyers 21-year-old prospect goalie, is expected to be recalled. Hextall noted that Stolarz is likely not ready to make his NHL debut, but that the Flyers have no other options currently under contract.

Stolarz made 36 saves in the Phantoms 5-4 overtime win over the Hershey Bears on Sunday shortly after the Flyers victory in Washington. He received the call-up following the game.

"I'm kinda speechless right now," Stolarz said following the game per Phantoms reporter Gary R. Blockus. "As a kid you always dream of it. To get the call, it's very exciting."

Stolarz is 7-10-2 with a 3.04 GAA and .911 save percentage with Lehigh Valley this season.
