Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons has yet to suit up for the team since suffering a Jones fracture in his right foot at the end of training camp in September. He had surgery in October and while the normal recovery time is 2-3 months, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported on February 16 that a January 23 scan showed Simmons' foot had not fully healed. That's a bit of a head-scratcher considering Bryan Colangelo said that the scan was clean in an official Sixers.com story on January 24.
Shortly after the news leaked about Simmons' scan, Colangelo issued a statement, indicating that Ben's next scan would come on February 23. While we haven't found out the results officially, John Barchard of WIP reports the CT scan results are not favorable.
Hearing that Simmons CT scan didn't go as planned today and his season is very much in doubt #Sixers

Between Nerlens Noel getting traded and Joel Embiid missing the next four games and being unhappy of how his injury status was handled, this news certainly isn't what anyone wants to here.
Bryan Colangelo is scheduled to speak on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. He'll likely try to put a positive spin on an awful Noel deal and break the news on Simmons.
