The Jahlil Okafor trade rumors keep gaining more and more heat as the hours tick away. Josh Liddick from Sports Talk Philly previously wrote that the Bulls and Pelicans have emerged as the front-runners for Okafor. This came out after the Denver Nuggets and Portland Trail Blazers put together a trade package involving Jusuf Nurkic and Mason Plumlee.

Now, reports say that the Sixers have left for Charlotte on the plane for Monday night's game vs. the Hornets, and Jahlil Okafor was left behind.

More often than not, a player who doesn't travel with their team due to factors other than an injury is usually due to an impending trade or a similar circumstance.

As of now, nothing else has progressed with Okafor involving any specific trade details, but the Sixers' center is not traveling with his team for right now.

The NBA's trade deadline is February 23, and the All-Star Game is February 19. With a week away from the game in New Orleans, it's looking more and more likely that Okafor could be heading elsewhere in the next week or so.
