Philadelphia 76ers first-year forward Dario Saric has been named Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month for February, making it four straight months that a Sixer player has won the award. Joel Embiid had earned the honors for the previous three months, but is now out for the remainder of the season.

During the month of February, Saric led all rookies in scoring (17.0 ppg) and field goals made (78) and finished second in rebounding (7.9 ppg). Per Sixers.com, Saric scored in double figures in 11 of the 12 games in February, including five 20-point games. No other rookie had more than two 20-point games, while the entire rookie class outside of Saric totaled seven such games.
With Joel Embiid shelved for the rest of the year, Saric has a strong chance to claim Rookie of the Year honors with the way he's been playing. He leads all active rookies in scoring (11.3 ppg), rebounds (6.2 rpg), double-digit games (35) and double doubles (8).
Saric's play as of late has definitely elevated and he is showing no signs of hitting a rookie wall, despite playing an unreal amount of basketball over the past year between his team in Turkey, the Olympics and the Sixers. Dario has appeared in all 60 games this season for the Sixers.
