Prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Devils, the Flyers made two more cuts, placing forwards Chris Porter and Colin McDonald on waivers.

Teams had until 12 p.m. on Thursday to claim either player, and Porter even played in Wednesday’s game even after being waived, scoring the first of the Flyers two goals in a 4-2 loss to New Jersey.

Porter was claimed off of waivers by the Minnesota Wild. McDonald cleared waivers and will report to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

Porter had two goals in four games with the Flyers.

The Flyers roster currently sits at 24, with one more cut needed before setting the final roster for the season opener on Oct. 8. The final spot is likely going to go to either forward Scott Laughton or defenseman Brandon Manning.

The Flyers play their final game of the preseason on Friday night in New Jersey against the Devils at 7 p.m.
