The first game of spring training is all about first impressions. For a few Phillies, it was certainly a good first impression — see J.P. Arencibia and David Hernandez.
Of course, the other side is looking for good impressions too, and Darwin Barney certainly made his mark on the first game of spring.
Barney drove in all five Toronto runs in the Blue Jays 5-3 win over the Phillies on Tuesday afternoon at Bright House Field.

The Blue Jays struck for two early runs in the first as Darwin Barney came through with a two-out double with the bases loaded off Severino Gonzalez, scoring two.
The Phillies answered with an two-run single by Carlos Ruiz to tie the game in the second.
Toronto went ahead again in the third on another two-run double by Barney, this one off of Gregory Infante.
The first extra-base hit for the Phillies would come in the fourth, as J.P. Arencibia belted a solo home run to center off of Drew Hutchison, cutting Toronto's lead to one.
Barney drove in his fifth run of the game with an RBI single in the fifth.
The Phillies got scoreless outings from David Hernandez, Bobby LaFromboise, Hector Neris, Luis Garcia and Dailer Hinojosa.
The Phillies did not manage a hit after the fifth inning.
