Cole Hamels Throws Again, Phillies Reassign More Players to Minor League Camp

Hamelsbraves

There is news around the organization this morning. Cole Hamels threw a bullpen session this morning and apparently it went well. The other news is that the Phillies made more roster cuts this today as they decided to reassign RHP Sean O'Sullivan, INF Maikel Franco, and OF Clete Thomas to minor league camp.

According to CSN's Jim Salisbury, Cole Hamels tossed two innings of live bp to hitters and it went well.

"I feel great," Hamels said.

With Hamels a huge key in their rotation this year, the Phillies need to keep him on a good schedule and not rush him back to the mound too fast.

The Phillies' roster cuts this morning involved three players being reassigned to minor league camp. With the final week of spring training around the corner, be prepared for more news regarding cuts.
