Darren “Dutch” Daulton underwent brain surgery last month to
remove two tumors. Results from the testing has come back… and he has
Glioblastomas, a form of malignant and aggressive brain cancer.

According to the statement released by 97.5 FM The Fanatic, he
has returned to the Clearwater area to continue to recover surrounded by his
family and friends, and will begin treatments there.

Glioblastoma originates in the glial cells, which surround,
protect, and nourish neurons. Neurons are the cells that process the chemical
or electrical information.

 About one-fifth of
adult brain tumors are glioblastomas. There is no exact known cause for them,
but they have been found to be more common in older men.

Tumors are treated through a combination of surgery, radiation,
and chemotherapy.

We here at Philliedelphia send our best wishes out to Dutch
and his family.
