Deladelphia: Nerlens Noel Becomes A Yo-yo

Nerlens noel

Welcome to the city of Deladelphia, where we talk about the Delaware 87ers and Philadelphia 76ers! This week, Nerlens Noel became a toy, the Sevens made roster moves and partnerships to better the community, and a couple of big updates for a couple of the Sixers' rookies.

Nerlens Noel the yo-yo:

Have you thought about what you wanted to be when you were a kid? Doctor. Lawyer. SPORTS WRITER, BABY. Whatever it was, it probably wasn't a yo-yo, right? I'd imagine Noel didn't really want to be a yo-yo at this point, but whatever. You're probably asking "why is he a yo-yo"? I'm glad you asked!

Noel was sent to the Sevens. This was November 30th.

Then he was called back to the Sixers. This was December 1st.

Then he was sent back down to the Sevens. This was Dec. 2nd.

And then, he was brought back up. On the same day.

Down. Up. Down. Up. Do we know any tricks?

Also, the trade talk for Noel continues. Noel is a favorite of mine. I absolutely love his game. Don't care for his hair (I rhyme…all the time). Sigh.

Phila-slip-phia:

The Sixers were supposed to take on the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, Nov. 30th. Instead, it got postponed. Reason? The court was slippery. That's why I had that awesome pun to introduce the story. I'm punny. That's what I do; I make pun of stuff. I do it for the pun of it.

(I am so sorry for the puns)

The Rookies:

Joel Embiid unsurprisingly won Rookie of the Month for November (and October). No, seriously, it was not surprise. If he didn't win it, I think I'd have to give up NBA. I almost expect a sweep of the whole season. Almost.

Ben Simmons is slated to be the official Point Gaurd of the Sixers once he gets back. Let the Magic Johnson comparisons begin.

The Sevens make moves:

As you saw from a couple of tweets during the Noel Saga, the Sevens have made a couple of roster moves. There is another.

The Sevens made a trade. They got Greg Mays from the Northern Arizona Suns. Sevens give up a first round pick for next year's draft.

87ers want the kids to read

The 87ers partnered with Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children to improve youth literacy. I mean you COULD send them links to this site but whatever y'all do I'm sure will be fine.

A prediction:

The Sixers and Sevens will win a game this upcoming week.

This was a fairly active week after the previous week was rather quiet. I look forward to seeing more stuff about these teams.

You are citizens of Deladelphia, my friends. Thanks to staying. Keep sending me thoughts on what could be better, rid of, added, and more. Go Sixers and go Sevens!
