Two minutes later Jakub Voracek went to the box for delay of game. The Flyers peanlty killers did a better job stopping the Anaheim power play. Unfortunately they could not gain possession of the puck and clear when the minor was over.

Rakell took advantage of the tired skaters and constant pressure scoring his second of the period and 13th of the season. Rakell cam out from circle and beat Mason at 15:08 of the period. Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf picked the assists.

The Flyers got their first power play at 15:55 of the period but were unable to score. Anaheim outshot the Flyers 15-5 in the period and took a 2-0 lead into the locker room.

The Flyers got their second man advantage just 13 seconds into the second period. Much like the first, they were unable to generate much and Anaheim easily killed the penalty.

The game began to get chippy after that. It was a steady stream to the penalty box for both teams for the remainder of the period.

Anaheim got the only goal of the period when Chris Stewart scored his eigth goal the season on a penalty shot at 12:48. Stewart was hooked by Nick Schultz as he broke in on Mason.

Philadelphia outshot Anaheim 9-6 for the period but trailed 3-0 after 40 minutes.

The Ducks clamped down through the third period.

The Flyers were only able to get on the board thanks to a late power play. Wayne Simmonds scored his 19th of the season at 13:55. Shayne Gostisbehere extended his point streak to nine games with an assist. Giroux picked up the other assist.
