Earl Wolff Active Against Saints

Wolff PracticeEagles safety Earl Wolff returns to action tonight against Drew Brees and the Saints in the NFC Wild Card game at Lincoln Financial Field.

Closing in on game time between the Philadelphia Eagles and New Orleans Saints the inactives for both teams were announced and Birds' safety Earl Wolff was not mentioned, meaning he will return to action tonight.

Patrick Chung will get the start at safety alongside Nate Allen, but it's expected if Wolff is healthy enough to contribute, he will see meaningful playing time on defense.

Wolff was active against the Chicago Bears two weeks ago but only saw the field for four snaps.

The safety spot will be crucial against the Saints' passing attack which features the likes of Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham. Wolff has been confident all week in the status of his knee despite sporadic time on the practice field.

Inactive for the Eagles are Matt Barkley, Damaris Johnson, Curtis Marsh, Keelan Johnson, Matthew Tucker, Julian Vandervelde and Dennis Kelly
