Per Ken Rosenthal, the Phillies have signed well traveled shortstop Ronny Cedeno to a minor league deal which included an invite to Clearwater. His bat and his glove are pretty inconsistent and history shows us Cedeno is a replacement level infielder, maybe even a notch below replacement level. He's spent most of his career filling in for teams that had absolutely no shot at winning anything so it's fitting he's with the home squad now. Most likely he'll serve as minor league depth in Lehigh Valley.  The list of people he has to out perform to make the club in spring training is quite long. Cedeno could spell the end of Quad-A infielder Pete Orr's time with the organization as Orr is still a free agent.
