Report: Eagles sign former Corner Back Walter Thurmond

According to Adam Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles have reached an agreement with corner back Walter Thurmond.

Thurmond signed with the Giants last year, but missed the season because of a torn pectoral muscle

Thurmond says that he is healthy:

"I have all my range of motion, now it's just the strengthening process and getting back the muscle mass and everything like that," Thurmond said. "I pretty much have a whole year to get ready for next season and everything so I'm right on track, and like I was saying, this organization is great to be a part of and I can see us being able to get this season turned around and make the playoffs."

The confusing thing about this signing is Thurmond plays nickel corner. So what does that mean for Brandon Boykin?

I am also concerned about Thurmond's injury history. In addition to missing most of 2014, injuries also cut short his 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Oh, and did I mention he played college ball at Oregon?

That makes 10 former Oregon players on the Philadelphia Ducks.
