The Sixers and Bucks got into a Twitter feud, and it was awesome

The Philadelphia 76ers don't have the best team right now, but they certainly have a strong social media department.

Last night, that department earned their paychecks.

It started off innocently enough, with the Milwaukee Bucks tweeting out a little love for Ray Allen's 41 point performance in Game 6 of the 2001 Eastern Conference Finals:

For those of you too young to remember, the Sixers won that series in game seven, which they apparently could not resist reminding the Bucks:

The Bucks apparently were not a fan of this reminder, so they took a shot at the Sixers "team building strategy":

The Golden State Warriors, busy preparing for the NBA Finals, decided to make it a party:

Of course, the Sixers couldn't be getting called out like that. They have some street cred to protect. So they pulled out the trump card:

Ah yes. Game 7 victory celebration over the Bucks. You would think the Bucks saw it coming. I mean, they lost the series. They had to know it was coming.

Never to be deterred, the Bucks tried switching up the subject:

Wait, what?! We were talking about playoffs, and 2001 and you go an pull out MCW?

You just KNOW the Sixers wanted to throw out a string of tweets pointing out that they traded MCW to Milwaukee for a reason. You know, he's a below average point guard in an NBA over-saturated with point guards, he can't shoot, is not a great defender, and is a mediocre passer. But otherwise, he has a really bright career.

Alas, they took the high road, and still managed to win the day:
