The Flyers blue line took another hit on Monday. GM Ron Hextall announced that defenseman Mark Streit will be out two weeks with an upper-body injury.

Streit left Sunday's game in Detroit after playing 19:14 of ice time. He has five goals and 16 points in 31 games this season.

Streit and Ivan Provorov are the only two defensemen to appear in all 31 games for the team this season. The Flyers were without defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere on Sunday as well.

The injury comes as the Flyers have a bit of a break in the schedule. They play in Colorado on Wednesday and Dallas on Sunday and have three games next week, including two at home, before a five-day break over Christmas.

The Flyers take on the Avalanche on Wednesday night at 10 p.m.
