Flyers-Avalanche: Game 32 Preview

By Kevin Durso, Sports Talk Philly editor

It's been two days since the Flyers last hit the ice and stretched their winning streak to nine games, the first two-day pause between games for the Flyers in nearly a month.

The Flyers go for a 10th straight win on Wednesday night, as they face the Colorado Avalanche in Denver in the middle game of a three-game road trip.

The Flyers and Avalanche are set to face off at 10 p.m.

Brayden Schenn has basically been the Flyers scoring source in the last two games. With a hat trick in Saturday's 4-2 win over Dallas and the only goal in overtime in Detroit on Sunday, Schenn has been the player to watch of late.

Nathan MacKinnon has been the Avs leading scorer this season and comes into Wednesday's game with a four-game points streak.

After getting Sunday's game off, Steve Mason returns to the net for the Flyers. Mason started the previous seven games before sitting out Sunday and won all seven.

Technically he's the backup, playing in just 10 games this season, but Calvin Pickard has starter quality numbers at this point in the season. Pickard did have a rough start in his last outing on Saturday, however, allowing four goals on 20 shots in a 10-1 drubbing to Montreal.
