Cole Hamels look a little off when facing the Red Sox and the Athletics? He was a little itchy. Ditto Ross Gload.
According to Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com, Hamels, Gload, and Carlos Ruiz flew to Roy Oswalt's home in Weir, MO for a quick fishing trip. Not used to the Missouri terrain, Gload, Ruiz, and Hamels all wore shorts as they ventured out to fish.
Roy Oswalt wore long pants.
“It felt like razor blades on the back of my legs every time I’d take a step,” Hamels is quoted in saying in the piece. This is what poison oak looks on legs (this is not of Hamels).
SO, keep an eye out for stuff that looks like this when you are fishing in Missouri. Wear long pants.
