Cole Hamels took the mound for the Phillies tonight. Cole
went 6 innings, had 7 hits, 4 runs, 3 walks, and 5 strikeouts. Bullpen did well
(they did not implode… small steps), but the bats were dead. The Phillies only
scored three runs in one inning.

Chase Utley made his return to his team today, but went 0
for 5.

Cole Hamels pitched well through the first four innings and
hit some trouble in the 5th. Phillies bats woke up in the 2nd, then went silent
for the rest of the game. Mets pitching was good, but not great.

Howard scored after doubling from a Dom Brown double. 1-0,
Phillies. Ben Revere grounds into a force out, scoring Dom Brown. 2-0,
Phillies. Jimmy Rollins reached on a fielding error, Ben Revere scores. 3-0,
Phillies.

Eric Young doubles to start the 4th inning. David Wright,
gets base hit, scoring Young. 3-1, Phillies. A great play by Jimmy Rollins to
throw out Duda ends the inning.

Ben Revere gets a bunt double to start the bottom of the 4th.
Jimmy Rollins gets on with an absolutely terrible throw by David Wright. Chase
ends the inning with a popup.

Eric Young singled to center, scoring Lagares and
Quintanilla in the 5th. 3-3. Hamels was able to get out of the inning with
minimal damage done.

Ryan Howard gets a standup double in the bottom of the 5th. Domonic
Brown takes a walk, and Revere singles on a groundball to Wright. Ruiz flies
out to center, stranding 3.

Duda scores on a Lagares double in the 6th, 4-3
Mets.

De Fratus came in to replace Cole in the 7th
inning and Diekman comes in the 8th. Diekman gives up two hits. Stutes
came in and finished off the inning.

The Phils went down easily in the 9th, and Cole
drops to 2-11.
