Most baseball people have agents.   Leo Mazzone has a Twitter account.

Mazzone tweeted to the Phillies' Twitter account this morning that he was interested in their open pitching coach position:

Mazzone is one of baseball's best-known pitching coaches, having coached the Atlanta Braves pitchers during the era that the Braves had Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, and John Smoltz and won the National League East annually.  Mazzone was the Braves pitching coach the entire run, from 1990 – 2005.

Mazzone left the Atlanta Braves to join the Baltimore Orioles in the 2006 season.  He only coached the Orioles for two seasons before getting fired.  Mazzone turned 65 this month.

Thank you to Chris Branch of the Delaware News Journal for bringing this to my attention.
