Phillies send O’Sullivan to the hill in hopes of avoiding sweep

Having lost the first out of three against the Mets (26-21), the Phillies (19-29) will look to salvage a game in the series during a mid-week matinee. On Monday, the Phillies and Mets were tied at three before Wilmer Flores hit a three-run home run to give New York the lead and the eventual win. On Tuesday night in extra innings, Flores struck yet again, plating the game-winning run with an RBI single in the 10th. The Phils hope for another strong outing from Sean O'Sullivan as they square off against Noah Syndergaard.

Since being called up last month, Mets rookie starter Noah Syndergaard has pitched with mixed results. He currently has a 1-2 record with a 3.63 ERA.
