Post-op Wentz FaceTimes backup QB Sudfield about new play

The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a big blow this past Sunday, losing their superstar quarterback to a torn ACL. In the few days since his injury and surgery, Carson Wentz has remained involved as much as possible, taking time on the teams' day off on Tuesday to go over the game plan with Nick Foles for Sunday's game in New York. Wentz underwent surgery on Wednesday and when he was still a bit loopy from anesthetic, he took it upon himself to FaceTime Eagles backup quarterback Nate Sudfield to ask him about a new play that showed up in a team e-mail.

Sudfield: It was like the first question – 'So, what's this new play i saw in the e-mails?'. I was like, you sure you want to know right now? It was pretty funny.

Reporter: He's FaceTiming straight out of surgery?

Sudfield: Yeah, he was FaceTiming pretty quick after surgery…I mean do you expect anything less from Carson?

Wentz also tried ordering a double stack burger while FaceTiming, clearly showing how groggy he was from the surgery.
