Free agency began less than six hours ago and already Nick Foles and Jordan Hicks have new deals. Meanwhile, other former Eagles are getting their own deals and visiting teams.

Beginning with those free agents who were with the team in 2018, both cornerback Ronald Darby and running back Jay Ajayi have scheduled visits.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Darby will be meeting with the Chiefs Wednesday night, a meeting that could be taking place as this article is being written.

Darby has previously told Rapoport that the Eagles want him back and that he believes Philadelphia is one of the greatest sports cities in the world, but money talks.

While he may be coming off a knee injury, the 25-year-old is the top corner on the market and is just two years removed from being the top corner on a Super Bowl Championship team.

Spotrac.com lists his market value at $10.8 million per year over five years, but a team like the Chiefs who desperately need secondary may overpay for the top corner and ensure the Birds receive a third-round compensatory pick in the process.

Rapoport also reports that running back Jay Ajayi is set to visit the Colts next week.

A back injury and ACL tear afflicted Ajayi all season long and they will likely hamper his ability to earn the big bucks. With Tevin Coleman and Mark Ingram each signing for only $5 million per year, Ajayi will likely see less.

The Colts have plenty of cap space, however, and the team is lead by Fran Reich. Reich was of course the offensive coordinator for the Eagles in 2017 when the team acquired Ajayi from Miami.

Two other former Eagles to land deals include 2012 Eagles draft pick and Super Bowl LII Champion Mychal Kendricks and 2015 Eagles draft pick Eric Rowe.

Rapoport reported that Rowe signed a one-year, $3.5 million deal with the Dolphins.

Rowe was traded to the Patriots for a fourth-round pick in the 2018 draft. That pick was sent to Miami in exchange for the aforementioned Jay Ajayi.

Linebacker Mychal Kendricks re-signed with the Seahawks for one-year, $4 million.

Kendricks was charged with insider trading shortly after being released by the Eagles and was subsequently released by the Cleveland Browns. He managed a spot on the Seahawks roster before being suspended by the league and suffering a severe knee injury upon his return.

In less than a month, Kendricks will be sentenced for his insider trading charges and may have to do jail time.
