The Eagles face the Washington Football Team in their season opener. The Eagles have looked great so far as they lead 17-7 at the half. Here’s what we saw in the first 30 minutes of action:

First Half Offensive MVP

QB Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz was pretty good in the first half. He has made some mistakes with a fumble and an interception, but he has made some great throws as well. Wentz enters the half with 182 passing yards and two touchdowns.

First Half Defensive MVP

The Entire Eagles Secondary

This Eagles secondary has been great so far, giving up just 76 passing yards in the first half. They have limited the big plays which have haunted them over the past few seasons. Hopefully this strong first half is a preview for the rest of the season.

Who Needs To Step Up

The Eagles Offensive Line

The Eagles offensive line has not looked good in the first half. They have allowed four sack thus far and the Eagles have not been able to get their running game going. A great second half performance by the offensive line will be key for the Eagles to start the year off 1-0.

Who To Watch Out For

Wide Receiver Terry McLaurin

McLaurin has been one of the bright spots for the Football Teams offense in the first half. McLaurin gave the Football Team some big plays and finished the half with 43 receiving yards. Making sure McLaurin isn’t able to have any big plays in the second half will be crucial in order for the Eagles to leave this game with a win.
