1,2,3,4,5… Sixers!!! 11/14 The Texas Two-step

After a fun filled home and home with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Sixers returned home Monday to kick off a quick homestand. I admittedly didn't get to see much of these two games due to work and family obligations, but I did get to watch the end of the Rockets game and I saw all I needed to see.

1. Spurs got LUCKY!

Mark down March 24th on your calendars, because thats the night the Sixers get their revenge. The heroic Sixers fought valiantly against a league's 2nd best team, but it wasn't meant to be. The Sixers, playing their third game in four nights, just didn't have enough Monday to keep up with the Spurs. BUT! on March 24th, the upper hand will be on the other foot, and old-ass San Antonio will be playing their third in four, and then we'll see what happens! Btw, Spencer Hawes is an American hero; This man put up 17 points and 13 boards on the Spurs, just a day after playing 74 minutes against Cleveland over the weekend. What a warrior!

2. 6th man of the year!!!

On Friday's night I took my buddy Tim down to the WFC for the Sixers game. The biggest topic of the night (aside from the white guy with corn rows, which was, needless to say, spectacular) was my fascination with Tony Wroten. I find him incredibly fun to watch, and although he isn't always good, he's always moving, he's super fast, and (double negative alert!) he never doesn't try. So going into Wednesday night, I already had a fondness for Tony Wroten, but now:

Wroten was amazing on Wednesday night, scorching the Rockets for triple double and leading the Sixers to victory in MC Dub's absence.

3. James Anderson… is not….. terrible?

Guess the last time the Sixers had a player score 36 points or more, and, since I'm a sweetheart here is a hint…. ITS BEEN A WHILE! In fact, it has only happened once since the Sixers traded Allen Iverson away back in 2006. That magical day was my little sister's 22nd birthday, 4-18-07, when none other than Willie Green dropped 37 in the season finale against Toronto. That's right, it's been since Willie Green.

4. Tuesday was also important if you're a Sixers fan

    Just watch this:

5. I'm gonna cheat, sue me

As if today's column wasn't rushed and half-assed enough, I'm jumping right to the prospect video here at 5, and you'll get our joyous anthem 6th. Sorry, but its a tight week for me. So here goes:

SIXERS!!!

You know the drill, turn them speakers up! See you all again soon!
