Former Phillies Foes Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine Elected To Hall of Fame Along With Frank Thomas

Maddux

Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine terrorized the Phillies for many years in the National League East.  The Baseball Writers Association of America announced that both of them, along with longtime Chicago White Sox first baseman Frank Thomas have been elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

Just missing election was former Astros catcher and second baseman Craig Biggio.   Biggio was just two votes shy of getting 75 of the votes.  571 ballots were cast in all.  Biggo may have a shot next year as voters who used all 10 slots may have room for him once again.

Former Phillies pitcher Curt Schilling dropped in total percentage of the vote from last season.  Schilling netted 38% of the votes last year, and dipped to 29% this year.
