Lane Johnson criticizes Eagles fans for booing, apologizes on Twitter

After two consecutive home losses, both fans and players of the Philadelphia Eagles are beginning to get very frustrated.

Speaking with Josh Paunil of Birds 24/7 after practice on Tuesday, starting right tackle Lane Johnson placed some blame on the Philly faithful for the team's poor play in a blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"If we get down by any significant amount of points or we don't make any first downs, we're going to get booed," Johnson said. "That's just kind of how it is. It's really not home field advantage playing here anymore. Really, that's that truth. Cats here, they don't really care."

Johnson added that Eagles fans have been the same way since he was a rookie, but that it doesn't bother him as much anymore because it is to be expected when the team plays at Lincoln Financial Field.

"I've heard it so much since I've been here that it don't really phase me like it used to," he said. "When I first got here though, I was like 'Holy sh-t.'"

Later today, Johnson shared his apologies to the fans via Twitter.

Even with a 4-6 overall record, the Eagles are somehow still alive in a very winnable NFC East division. They have six games left on the season, three of which are at home.
