Kevin Cooney of the Bucks County Courier Times has been on top of the Phillies broadcasting matters all week. Now he is reporting that one of the top choices for the Phillies broadcast booth is not interested:
Take Brad Lidge's name out of Phillies broadcasting mix… Reliever says it "would be tough to do" with family concerns

Cooney says that Lidge has a five and a nine year-old and Lidge himself explained that the rigors of the job would be tough:
"As much of an honor as it was… because of the kids, jumping back into it right now would be really difficult."
Lidge is completing a master's degree in Archaeology at Regis University, and will continue to host his Sunday show on MLB Network Radio.
Cooney also suggests that Ricky Bottalico and Doug Glanville could be the top two contenders for the position.
