DUNEDIN, Fl. — With one week separating the Phillies from the start of the 2017 regular season, it offers one last chance to tune up ahead of Opening Day. Three Phillies used Monday night's game to show they were warming up.
Vince Velasquez threw five solid innings on the mound while Tommy Joseph and Freddy Galvis each had multi-hit games and drove in two runs each in a 7-1 win for the Phillies over the Blue Jays.

The Phillies opened the scoring in the first. After Galvis singled with one out, he stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error by Russell Martin. Odubel Herrera drove in Galvis with an RBI groundout.
Velasquez brought a run in with an RBI groundout with the bases loaded in the second, scoring Howie Kendrick.
The Blue Jays got on the board in the third with a solo home run by Martin to right-center field.
The Phillies answered back in the fourth with three runs. After loading the bases with one out, Galvis came through with a two-out hit that cleared the bases. Galvis' single scored Joseph and Aaron Altherr and Velasquez came around to score on the throw as Galvis was caught in a rundown and tagged out heading for second.
The Phillies capped the scoring for the game in the fifth as Joseph connected for a two-run home run to left.
