Phillies sting Rays with 10-run offensive outburst in finale

By Matt Rappa, Sports Talk Philly editor

Final: Phillies 10, Rays 4

Thanks to Scott Kingery‘s bases-clearing double, Rhys Hoskins‘ two-out RBI single, and the club’s five-run, eighth inning — featuring a three-run blast by Aaron Altherr — the Philadelphia Phillies (9-5) captured the series sweep over the Tampa Bay Rays (3-12) in Sunday’s Jackie Robinson Day matinee at Tropicana Field.

The win secured the Phillies their first-ever sweep of the Rays, their first consecutive three-game series sweeps since May 2016, and their first six-game win streak since April 2017.
