Even though one decade has passed since Pat Burrell, Cole Hamels, Ryan Howard and Chase Utley were Philadelphia Phillies teammates and 2008 World Series champions, the four clearly continue to share an inseparable bond off the field.

Such friendship showed strong on Tuesday, when Howard shared on Instagram the four bonding and celebrating Utley's 40th birthday at El Dorado Golf and Beach Club in Mexico.

Howard's two-photo Instagram post was captioned, "Always great hanging with these guys. Love em. Happy B Day to the #Silverfox @chaseutley" Of the four, only Hamels remains active as a player in Major League Baseball with the Chicago Cubs.

Utley, who turned 40 on Monday, attended last week's Winter Meetings with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The recently retired Pasadena, California, native is expected to join the club's baseball operations department. The Phillies will honor him, Howard and Jimmy Rollins with separate retirement "legends" ceremonies during the 2019 season.
