Ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies' four-game road series against the Colorado Rockies, starting Thursday evening, the club placed outfielder Odubel Herrera on the 10-day injured list, and activated fellow outfielder Roman Quinn to the 25-man roster.
Herrera, 27, suffered a right hamstring strain on Wednesday while tracking down a line drive hit by the New York Mets' Amed Rosario in the top of the fifth inning. He exited the game and was replaced by Aaron Altherr. Only one other Phillies player has logged more hits than Herrera (17), shortstop Jean Segura (22), who also has recently suffered a hamstring injury, albeit being sidelined day-to-day.
Quinn, 25, had been placed on the injured list since Opening Day. Through his seven rehab assignment games with High-A Clearwater and Triple-A Lehigh Valley, Quinn combined to slash .370/.452/.593 with nine runs scored, seven singles, one double, one triple, one home run, three RBI, four walks, two stolen bases and 11 strikeouts spanning 35 plate appearances.
Herrera joins Phillies right-handed relievers Tommy Hunter (60-day) and David Robertson (10-day) on the injured list.
