The Eagles face the Falcons in week two of the regular season. The Eagles offense has started off slow again and they go into halftime trialing 10-6. Here’s what we saw in the first 30 minutes of action:

First Half Offensive MVP

TE Zach Ertz

The offense has really struggled in the first half, putting up just three points. With Desean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery out for the first half, Ertz has been Wentz’s only reliable target. Ertz finished the half with four receptions for 38 yards.

First Half Defensive MVP

DB Sidney Jones

Jones has had a great first half, with four tackles and an interception. Jones, who has been hurt over the past few seasons, intercepted Matt Ryan to give the Eagles the ball with 40 seconds left in the half. That led to a field goal by Jake Elliot.

Who Needs To Step Up

Carson Wentz needs to do a better job getting the ball down field. That’s what worked last week against Washington and if the Eagles want to have another explosive second half, Carson Wentz needs to make big plays.

Who To Watch Out For

Julio Jones

Jones is arguably one of the league’s best receivers, and has had a decent first half by his standards. I could see the Falcons try to get him going early in the second half to try to break this game open.
