Preseason Game 1 Preview: Flyers face Islanders in split-squad action

The Dave Hakstol era gets underway tonight in Allentown in a unique manner. While Hakstol coaches the Flyers at the PPL Center, Joe Mullen will coach a separate squad of Flyers against another squad of Islanders at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

The puck drops for both games at 7 p.m.

Flyers fans in Allentown will get to see established stars as Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek and exciting young talent like Ivan Provorov and Travis Konecny. 

In Brooklyn, Philadelphia will have lineup mainstays Brayden Schenn, Wayne Simmonds and Sean Couturier.

On the Islanders side of things, Arthur Staple of Newsday released the Islanders forward lines for the game in Allentown this morning:

In Brooklyn, The Islanders will have John Tavares, Josh Bailey and Jaroslav Halak, Aamong others.
