NFL Free Agency: Buccaneers Sign Sua Opeta

NFL Free Agency: Buccaneers Sign Sua Opeta Kyle Terada, USA TODAY Sports

The Eagles are losing one of their reserve offensive linemen.

The Buccaneers announced on Friday that they had signed guard Sua Opeta.

Opeta had originally joined the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2019, a very strong UDFA free agent class by the Eagles that included not only Opeta, but Nate Herbig and Ryan Bates (both OL who have spent time as starters in the league) in addition to linebacker TJ Edwards.

Opeta, coming out of Weber State, took a bit longer to develop, but had become a valuable depth piece for the Eagles.

He appeared in 38 games and made 10 starts for the Eagles in his five seasons with the team.

The Eagles will need to restock the cupboard with OL depth, particularly with Jack Driscoll remaining a free agent.
